The machining center (1) has a drilling or milling head (3) which is displaced along with the drilling or milling tool (6), and has a tool magazine (8) for receiving the drilling or milling tool. A magazine manipulator (9) is provided for transferring the entire tool magazine from the rest position in a tool delivery position and converse. The drilling or milling head is pivoted and transferred from the work piece machining position in the work piece transfer position. The drilling or milling tool is located in a receiving position in the tool magazine. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a tool changing device for changing drilling or milling tools between a drilling or milling head of a machining center; and (2) a tool magazine with a rotating axis for a machining center.
