1. A method and device for the exact reflectometric determination of the optical density of the macular pigment xanthophyll on the ocular fundus without interference by stray light, particularly by individual light scattering in the front eye media 2.1 The aim of the invention is to be able to reflectometrically determine also the optical density of the macular pigment xanthophyll on the ocular fundus without interference by stray light, particularly individually interfering stray light of the front eye media. 2.2 According to the invention, in addition to measuring the reflection light from illuminated regions of the ocular fundus, the ocular fundus is only partially illuminated and the intensity of the stray light is measured from the non-illuminated region. Said measurement value serves as a corrective variable for calculating the optical density of the macular pigment. 2.3 The invention is used in the field of ophthalmology.
