The invention relates to a strain gage including a substrate (1) on which are formed a pattern (2) made of an electrically resistive material as well as two pairs of terminals (3) in electric contact with said pattern, said pattern defining a continuous resistive medium in respectively longitudinal (x) and transverse (y) directions, and said terminals being formed on either side of the pattern respectively in a longitudinal direction (x) for one pair and in the transverse direction (y) for the other pair, in order to measure the electric resistance of the pattern in said longitudinal and transverse directions. The invention also relates to a sensor for measuring the longitudinal and transverse deformations of an area of a structural member including such a gage, and to a roller bearing including at least one such sensor.
