The brake (1) has an armature (3) whose clevis (5) has right and left axial guiding units respectively with right and left female parts that respectively cooperate with right and left male parts (43D, 43G) of right and left lateral lugs (42D, 42G) of a support in shoes. The female and male parts cooperate with a lateral sliding contact (16) including a tangent plane. The plane is inclined to form an angle with a transversal direction (13) on a surface of the armature to recapture driving force of the shoes during braking for reducing noise or noise nuisance generated by braking.
