PAGING METHOD USING A HEADER FOR SAVING POWER CONSUMPTION OF OTHER MOBILE TERMINALS IN AN LPG

PURPOSE: A paging method using a header is provided to transmit a paging message to a specific SPG instead of an LPG through location update information of a mobile terminal.;CONSTITUTION: If a terminal moves to an SPG(Small Paging Group) N, the terminal performs location update with a target base station in an SPG N(S608,S609). The target base station of the SPG N checks a counter value reached to a threshold value. The target base station recognizes that a paging group of the terminal must be changed. The SPG N transmits terminal information due to location update of the terminal, SPG N information, and target base station information of the SPG N to a paging controller(S610). The paging controller recognizes that a paging group of the terminal must be changed from the SPG N to a LPG(Large Paging Group).
