PURPOSE: A method for handling policy and charging control errors in a broadband wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same are provided to certainly define PCC errors which can occur during PCC application.;CONSTITUTION: When a request for IP-CAN(Internet Protocol-Connectivity Access Network session) session execution or PCC(Policy and Charging Control) rule execution to an ASN(Access Service Network) from a RAS(Radio Access Station) or a CSN(Core Service Network) exists, it is checked whether a PCC error handling support apparatus of an A-PCEF(Service Flow administrator/A-Policy and Charging Enforcement Function)(14) of the ASN can perform action due to the request. If the action can not be executed, the PCC error handling support apparatus detects a PCC error. The PCC error handling support apparatus divides a type of the detected PCC error.
