PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing an advertisement service are provided to enable a user of an originating terminal to receive useful information by providing advertising contents instead a ring back tone to an originating terminal when the originating terminal tries to make call connection.;CONSTITUTION: A decider(540) judges whether or not a receiving terminal subscribes to an advertisement providing service, and an advertising contents extractor(510) extracts adverting contents corresponding to the subscribed advertisement providing service according to the judgment.
