PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a rod-shaped titania nanoparticle for dye or the quantum dot-sensitized solar cell is provided to prepare a rod-shaped titania nanoparticle whose one side is long by using pure titanium tetrachloride without adding a surfactant, etc.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a rod-shaped titania nanoparticle comprises the steps of preparing a titanyl chloride (TiOCl2) solution; preparing a dihydroxy oxotitanium (TiO(OH)2) precipitation solution; adding a basic solution to adjust the pH of the dihydroxy oxotitanium precipitation solution to be weak basic, and heating and stirring it; separating dihydroxy oxotitanium from the dihydroxy oxotitanium precipitation solution, and washing it with a weak basic aqueous solution; and adding distilled water and 20 - 500 times of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to the washed dihydroxy oxotitanium based on the 1 mol of the Ti^4+ of dihydroxy oxotitanium, and heat treating it to prepare a rod-shaped titania nanoparticle having an average length of 100nm - 300nm.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
