PURPOSE: An ice storage cooling system and a method thereof are provided to reduce volume and weight by implementing a refrigerator and a thermal storage tank in one system. CONSTITUTION: An ice storage cooling system(40) comprises a refrigerator(41), a thermal storage tank(43), a heat exchanger(49), a freezing valve(42), a cool water circulating pump(48), an air ventilator(45), and an cool air outlet(46). The refrigerator, the thermal storage tank, and the heat exchanger are integrated into one body within one housing. The freezing valve circulates low-temperature refrigerant between the refrigerator and the thermal storage tank. The cool water circulating pump circulates cold water between the heat exchanger and the thermal storage tank. The air ventilator supplies air. The cool air outlet discharges cold air exchanged by the heat exchanger.
