PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve display quality by suppressing a stain due to accumulation and polarization of an ion.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel(10) includes liquid crystal cells arranged into a matrix shape in which a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines are intersected. A data driving circuit(12) supplies a data voltage to the data lines. A power generating circuit generates a pre-charge voltage having a fixed polarity. A pre-charge control circuit generates a first pre-charge control signal and a second pre-charge control signal for controlling supply timing of the pre-charge voltages. A switch array(13) supplies the pre-charge voltage to the data lines before the supply of the data voltage regardless of the polarity of the data voltage in response to a source output enable signal for indicating an output of the data driving circuit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
