PURPOSE: A water heater including an expansion tank with an opening and closing valve for the separation protection and the expansion tank used for the same are provided to block an air path of the expansion tank by the opening and closing valve to easily manufacture a faucet.;CONSTITUTION: A water heater comprises a hot water tank and opening and closing valves(200,200'). The opening and closing valve includes a hot water inlet(121), an air path(122) and an anti-separation member(230,230'). When the hot water tank is heated, the how water enters the hot water inlet from the hot water tank. The anti-separation member is installed in the air path.
