PURPOSE: A control device of auto transmission is provided to suppress shock generation caused by sudden release by increasing a discharge rate of a partial working fluid discharged from a friction fastening element during the release.;CONSTITUTION: A first piston(35) and a second piston(36) performs friction plate pressing. A working fluid for each piston is supplied to a first hydraulic chamber(37) and a second hydraulic chamber(38). A first working fluid discharge rate switching part can switch only a discharge rate of the working fluid of the first hydraulic chamber. A controller increases a discharge rate of the working fluid of the first hydraulic chamber as much as a predetermined time by using the first working fluid discharge rate switching part when performing switching from a driving range to a neutral range.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
