The device comprises a receptacle (5) provided for fastening elements (2) equipped with an annular shoulder (9), where each fastening element is offset with an axial pressure in rotation and is connected with an underlying workpiece (3) by a friction welding operation. The receptacle is arranged on the workpiece, and is connected with air nozzles (8, 12) that direct an air flow in direction of the fastening element fed to the receptacle. The air nozzles are symmetrically/unsymmetrical arranged to each other in a circular manner.
