The skin beautifing cosmetic composition containing vitamin C and the extract of Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino flowers

A whitening cosmetic composition containing vitamin C and Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino flower extract is provided to maximize whitening effect by suppressing oxidization, increase the activation of chymotrypsin (SCCE) and trypsin (SCTE) and remove keratin without irritation. A whitening cosmetic composition comprises 0.1-20 weight% of vitamin C which is stabilized by 0.05-10 % of cationic material and anionic material and 0.001-20.0 weight% of Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino flower extract as an active ingredient. The Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino flower extract has the effects of whitening and moisturization. The Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino flower is isolated with water, anhydrous or hydrous low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, mixture solvent of low alcohol and water, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform or 1,3-butylene glycol. The cationic material is polyoxyalkylene chitosan, carboxymethyl chitosan, or N-2-hydroxypropyl sulfonic acid chitosan. The anionic material is polyvinyl sulphonic acid, polyacrylic acid and its copolymer. The cosmetic composition is used in a form of essence, lotion, cream, pack, gel, ointment, patch, or spray.
