A base member protection device of a model tooth frame for an articulator is provided to maintain a solid bonding state between the base member and protection device by surrounding a base member of the model tooth frame with the protection device in a way that a bottom side of the base member is partially exposed, thereby directly bonding gypsum plaster and base member to each other, and a method of using the same is provided. A base member protection device of a model tooth frame for an articulator comprises a bottom part(30) and a sidewall part(40). The bottom part is closely adhered to a bottom side of the base member of the model tooth frame. The bottom part has a penetration hole(H) formed in the center thereof. The sidewall part is integrally formed along the edge of the body part such that the sidewall part extends in an upward direction. The sidewall part is closely adhered to the entire side of the base member. The bottom part and sidewall part are made of a soft synthetic resin.
