PURPOSE: A method for producing a recognition dictionary by using a pronunciation name list in a sound recognition system and a method for processing a similar pronunciation name by using the same are provided to construct a pronunciation list relating to recognition names without discrimination, thereby providing an exact voice recognition service on the basis of the pronunciation list. CONSTITUTION: On the basis of a join source unit(201) of a subscriber database, before forming a recognition dictionary(204) for recognizing, a(temporary) pronunciation name list(202) for processing names having a similar or an identical pronunciation is produced through a language process module. In the temporary pronunciation name list(202), a representative phonemic is given to a similar phonemic and so a pronunciation dictionary(pronunciation name list(203)) is reconstructed. By using the produced pronunciation name list(203), the recognition dictionary(204) for performing a real voice recognition is made(204).
