ENCODER HOME POSITION SENSING METHOD AND A SYSTEM USING THE SAME, CAPABLE OF SENSING A HOME POSITION IN AN INCREMENT ENCODER

PURPOSE: An encoder home position sensing method and a system using the same are provided to perform interpolation by changing the amplitude of sine wave thickness function of annular ring patterns in a code wheel and the amplitude thickness lines sine wave-modulated in a code strip.;CONSTITUTION: The thickness of plural patterns is changed in a sinusoidal fashion through a code device. A plurality of patterns are related to the code device. The code device moves in a first cycle of a sine wave corresponding to first encoder cycle. The code device is monitored through a quadrature encoder reader(330). A home magnitude signal is produced using the reduction of the amplitude of the sine wave.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
