PURPOSE: A biphenyl derivative is provided to ensure excellent hole injection performance and hole transport performance, and to improve driving voltage of an organic electroluminescence device, luminous efficiency and lifetime property when used as a hole injection layer and/or hole transport layer of the organic electroluminescence device.;CONSTITUTION: A biphenyl derivative has a structure represented by chemical formula 1 or 2. In chemical formula 1 and 2, R1 and R2 are independently substituted or unsubstituted C6-50 aryl group; Ar1 and Ar2 are independently a substituent represented by chemical formula 3.
