EQUIPMENT AND METHOD OF THICKENING AND REUSE FOR THE SAND FILTERS BACKWASHING WATER BY USING SUBMERGED HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for reusing and thickening sand filter backwashing water by using submerged hollow fiber membranes and a method thereof are provided to produce clean processed water from backwashing water, and to remove solids containing in the backwashing water. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reusing and thickening sand filter backwashing water by using submerged hollow fiber membranes includes a submerged hollow membrane filtering device installed at the front end of an adjusting bath. The submerged hollow membrane filtering device includes an auto strainer(11), a raw water tank(12), a thickener(14), a hollow membrane(13), and a processing tank(15). An enriched water outlet line(14a) is installed at the bottom of the thickener. The hollow membrane is installed at the inside of the thickener. A diffuser(13a) is installed at the bottom of the hollow fiber membrane.
