PURPOSE: Aramid tire cord and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve shape stability and thermal stability of a tire in high speed traveling with the high intensity maintenance ratio, and to offer good durability and shear intensity etc.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of aramid tire cord includes the following steps of: manufacturing aramid ply yarns while twisting two strands under tensile stress of 500~1,800 cmN; dipping the aramid ply yarns to make the pick up rate of 3~12 weight% in resorcinol - formaldehyde - latex based on the aramid ply yarns; drying the aramid ply yarns for 10 ~ 400 seconds at a temperature of 105~200°C; and heat-treating the dried armid ply yarns.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
