PURPOSE: A method for extracting a boundary vector of an object obtained from laser scanning data is provided to extract a boundary vector of an object by gradually searching dots which constitute the exterior parts of a building irregularly. CONSTITUTION: An initial outermost vector of an object is extracted from a scanned point data, and a virtual polygon including the object is set up by using the initial boundary vector of the object. Virtual dots(20) which moves along a polygonal line is created. The distances between the initial boundary vectors and the created virtual dots are calculated. The modified boundary dots having the minimum distance are extracted.
