PURPOSE: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) array panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of the entire process by reducing mask processes.;CONSTITUTION: A gate line and a data line are arranged on an insulating substrate in a grid shape. A common line(25) is arranged on the insulating substrate parallelly with the gate line. A gate insulating layer(30) is formed on the gate line and the common line. A semiconductor layer(44) is formed on the gate insulating layer. A contact hole(45) passes through the gate insulating layer and the semiconductor layer.
