PURPOSE: An omni-directional camera correction method and system using contour-matching are provided to estimate the rotation and motion information of cameras through angle error function minimization. CONSTITUTION: A contour detecting unit(120) detects the contours of two or more omnidirectional images captured by cameras. A contour matching unit(130) matches the detected contours using Epipolar geometry estimation. An error adjusting unit(140) minimizes an angle error of 3D vector and Epipolar plane of the matched contours. A camera correcting unit(150) estimates the rotation and motion information of the cameras based on the minimized angle error.
