MAP MATCHING METHOD IN CROSSROAD AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A map matching method at an intersection, and a navigation system are provided to give the help of safe driving to a driver through the realistic rotation guide. CONSTITUTION: A map matching method at an intersection is as follows. A map matching data about a route and a current location of a user is created and displayed on a map(S610). An intersection located on the front of a traveling direction is searched(S620). When the intersection is detected, a rotation direction of the intersection is decided(S630). A curve rate corresponding with the rotation direction is reflected to the map matching data by applying the equation of a curve(S640). A guide about the rotation direction is implemented by outputting the map matching data in which the curve rate is reflected on the map(S650).
