PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a multimedia content service in a wireless network are provided to supply a mobile service about non registration external contents except contents registered by a content provider.;CONSTITUTION: A web server(121) offers a content list to a mobile terminal(110). The web server receives content selection information of a user from the mobile terminal. A converting server(123) receives contents in a wire network according to a content link address from the web server. The converting server converts the contents corresponding to standards of the mobile terminal.
