PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for compensating motion of an autofocus region, and an autofocus method and an apparatus using the same are provided to compensate an auto focus region according to a result of determining motion of the autofocus region of a current frame, thereby determining an accurate location of a real focus lens. CONSTITUTION: An autofocus region comparing unit(321) compares auto focus regions of a current frame and a previous frame. A motion determining unit(322) determines whether the autofocus regions are the same. The motion determining unit determines whether the autofocus region of the current frame moves. The autofocus region compensating unit(324) compensates the autofocus region.
