PURPOSE: An ink carrier is provided to exhibit substantially high nanoparticle uniformity and substantially reduced nanoparticle coherence when applied to ink.;CONSTITUTION: An ink carrier comprises a dispersion of at least one of silica nanoparticles surface modified with a hydrophobic group or metal oxide nanoparticles surface modified with a hydrophobic group exhibiting a substantially uniform distribution of the nanoparticles discretely distributed therewithin, the ink carrier being resistant to substantial aggregation of the nanoparticles distributed therewithin.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
