BURST MODE OPTICAL RECEIVER FOR OLT BASED ON GPON INTEGRATED BY THE PREAMPLIFIER AND POST-AMPLIFIER

PURPOSE: A burst mode optical receiver for OLT based on GPON integrated by the preamplifier and post-amplifier is provided to offer the efficient control plan using the external reset signal and to satisfy the upstream overhead requirements in the GPON(Gigabit Passive Optical Network) standard.;CONSTITUTION: A preamplifier(200) and post-amplifier(300) are integrated into one. A operation control unit(400) uses the external reset signal inputted from the single outside reset input end to control the operation of post-amplifier and preamplifier. The preamplifier comprises an exciter, a gain control system controlling the amplifying gain and a gradation transform unit changing the output-voltage signal of exciter gradation. The preamplifier converts and amplifies the current signal from the burst mode optical signal into the voltage signal.
