PURPOSE: A tire pressure monitoring system and an auto recognition method in the tire pressure monitoring system are provided, which can improve warning lamp lighting problem due to the generation of the error learning phenomenon.;CONSTITUTION: A tire pressure monitoring system comprises a TPMS sensor, an LF initiator, and a receiver(40). The TPMS sensor is installed to each tire and offers the tire pressure measurement result and TPMS sensor ID in the radio communication method. Moreover, the TPMS sensor has the different TPMS sensor ID according to tire. The LF initiator can direct the start-up of two or more TPMS sensors by outputting signals to the electricity electric field intensity of the fixed level.
