PURPOSE: An apparatus for alarming the replacement time of a cold cutter and a method thereof are provided to minimize accidents and a halt of work due to the overuse of a cold cutter by replacing the saw blade of the cold cutter.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for alarming the replacement time of a cold cutter comprises an input unit(100), a controller(200), a display unit(300), and an alarm unit(400). The input unit comprises a movable cutter(520) and a fixed cutter(540). The controller controls a cold cutter(500) to cut products based on control information from the input unit. The controller counts the cutting of the products. The controller compares the set value of the cutting count with the cutting count. The controller determines the replacement time of the cold cutter. The controller generates the alarm signal for informing the replacement time of the cold cutter. The display unit indicates the cutting count in the controller. The alarm unit informs the replacement time of the cold cutter based on the alarm signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
