PURPOSE: A method for converting an electronic document file saved as a character code through internet or network into an embedded font electronic document file is provided to prevent invasion of the right of using due to font illegal copy. CONSTITUTION: A method for converting an electronic document file saved as a character code through internet or network into an embedded font electronic document file comprises the following steps: saving(290) font information in a font information database of a server; transmitting(230) an electronic document file made in a client to the server; comparing(245) the font which is used for the transmitted electronic document file with the font which is saved in a font information database; requesting(260) the font required to change the electronic document file into the embedded font electronic document file to a client; and converting(270) the transmitted electronic document file into embedded font electronic document file.
