PURPOSE: A method for automatically controlling ad of a television is provided to automatically control an AD(Analog to Digital) process to remove difference due to image output of a tuner, thereby realizing optimal picture quality.;CONSTITUTION: If a power on signal of an initial TV is inputted, it is determined whether a current setup mode is an RF mode(S110). If the setup mode is the RF mode, a brightness value inserted into a specific interval of a signal inputted in the RF mode is read(S120). The brightness value of the specific interval and a pre-stored AD control value are compared(S130). It is determined whether an AD value of the specific interval exists within an error range of the pre-stored AD value(S140).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
