PURPOSE: A method of preparation of powdered iron for a heating material in a thermal battery using spray pyrolysis is provided to by using iron powder as heating source for melting solid electrolyte activating an inactive battery.;CONSTITUTION: A method of preparation of powdered iron for a heating material in a thermal battery using spray pyrolysis is as follows. An iron containing solution is produced by dissolving a compound in solvent. The iron containing solution is sprayed into droplets. Spherical third iron oxide particles are created by drying and thermally decomposing the droplets. Third iron oxide powder is created by plasticizing the spherical third iron oxide particles. Coral-shaped iron powder is obtained by reducing the third iron oxide powder in a reduction gas atmosphere.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
