PURPOSE: Metal nanoparticles of various size and shapes having functional groups on the surface and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to interlink various organic and bio molecules using functional groups of hydroxyl group, amine group, and carboxyl group which exist on the surface.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing metal nanoparticles in which functional groups are formed on the surface comprises the following steps: mixing a metal ion precursor and solution in which poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) copolymers are dissolved in polyol; coating the surface with the poly(viny lpyrrolidone) copolymers through reduction of the metal ion precursor by heating the mixed solution and forming the metal nanoparticle in which the functional groups are formed on the surface; and refining the metal nanoparticles.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
