PURPOSE: A system for activating a post processing device of a lean burn engine using a high temperature gas generator is provided to prevent load from being generated on an engine by using high temperature gas oxidized partially.;CONSTITUTION: A system for activating a post processing device of a lean burn engine using a high temperature gas generator comprises a temperature sensor(15), a heat exchanger(4), and a control valve. The temperature sensor measures the temperature of the exhaust gas exhausted from a lean burn engine(1). The heat exchanger uses hot gas as a heating source. The heat exchanger increases the temperature of the exhaust gas or the catalytic temperature of a post processing device(3). The heat exchanger activates the catalyst of the post processing device. The control valve controls the supply direction of the hot gas which is partially oxidized. The temperature sensor and the control valve are connected to an ECU(7).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
