A METHOD FOR ALLOCATION RESOURCE IN A VIDEO TELEPHONY SERVICE AND A SYSTEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A transmission resource allocation method for a video telephony service and a system for the same are provided to enable a base station to additionally allocate transmission resources according to codec information of a terminal, thereby reducing the delay of the video telephony service. CONSTITUTION: Codec information of a terminal(100) is obtained. According to the codec information, a base station(200) allocates transmission resources depending on the kind of each frame. According to the GOP(Group Of Pictures) order of the codec information, the base station transmits a map message which shows the allocated transmission resources to the terminal at each frame interval. The terminal transmits data according to the map message.
