PURPOSE: A data security method for a mobile storage device is provided to tighten security and to prevent intentional partition damages through user authentication using hash values. CONSTITUTION: Partitions of mobile storage device are divided into encoded security partition and general partition(S110). The security partition and general partition are formatted(S120). Information of the security partition is decoded(S130). In order that the changed information of the partition is recognized in an operating system, the changed information of the partition is updated(S140). In order to protect the security partition, a specific code is inserted into a master boot record(S150). The information of the security partition is encrypted(S160).
