PURPOSE: A method for evaluating the blockage rate of a passage groove of a tube support plate of a heat transferring tube by using an eddy current signal is provided to grasp the blockage rate of a passage groove of a tube support plate by comparing signals of a rotary probe and the signals of a bobbin probe.;CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating the blockage rate of a passage groove of a tube support plate of a heat transferring tube by using an eddy current signal comprises following steps. The blockage rate of a passage groove of a tube support plate is measured using signals of the rotary probe for the eddy current inspection of the heat pipe about the tube support plate of the vertical heat exchanger(1). The signal size of the bobbin probe is measured on a selected heat pipe(2). Correlation between the blockage rate of a passage groove of a tube support plate and the signal size of the bobbin probe is calculated(3). The signal size of the bobbin probe is converted into the blockage rate of the passage groove of the tube support plate of the heat exchanger using the correlation(4).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
