PURPOSE: A radiation shielding member and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce mean free path of radiation inside a shielding member by increasing collision probability between radiation and shielding materials.;CONSTITUTION: A radiation shielding member comprises high molecule materials with radiation shielding materials pulverized to the size of 10-900nm or a metal substrate. The pulverized radiation shielding materials are uniformly dispersed in the high molecule materials or the metal substrate. The radiation shielding materials increases the collision probability with the radiation which is radiated inside the shielding member. The collided radiation increases the absorption and damping probability of the radiation by reducing the length of the mean free path. The pulverized radiation shielding materials of 1.0-20.0 weight% are processed in the high molecule materials of 80.0-99.0 weight% or the metal substrate as the surfactant.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
