An Ethernet ring network system, a transmission node of Ethernet ring network and an initialization method thereof are disclosed. The method includes the following steps, step 1, a node on a ring generates a transmission node in the Ethernet-ring protection field; step 2, the transmission node detects the states of the two port links on the ring; if the transmission node detects that both port links on the ring have no fault, a ring net state is recorded as an initialized state, and at least a port on the ring is blocked and the blocked port is left in a pre-releasing state, an inquiry message of the ring net state is sent to a main node; step 3, after the main node receives the inquiry message of the ring net state, the main node sends the ring net state message recorded by the main node to the port on the ring which receives the inquiry message of the ring net state; step 4, decides whether the transmission node, the ring net state of which is an initialized state, receives the ring net state message sent by the main node or not: if the transmission node receives the message, releases the blocked port with the pre-releasing state to realize the initialization of the transmission node.;COPYRIGHT KIPO & WIPO 2010
