PURPOSE: A device for controlling the constant speed of a power tail gate and a method of controlling the same is provided to enable a tail gate to open and close while maintaining a constant speed from the vehicle body, regardless of the climate or the slope of the place where the vehicle is located.;CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the constant speed of a power tail gate comprises an angle detecting part(4), a driving part(5), a hall sensor(6), and a controller(7). The angle detecting part senses the opening and closing angles of the tail gate. The driving part opens and closes the tail gate from the vehicle body. The driving part includes an electric motor. The hall sensor senses the opening and closing speeds of the tail gate in real time. The controller constantly varies the speed of the electric motor depending on the angle of the tail gate detected from the angle detecting part and the hall sensor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
