PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to increase the compression efficiency between the spiral element of a rotating scroll and the spiral element of a fixed scroll by increasing the developed length of a spiral element.;CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor(100) comprises a housing(110), a fixed scroll(130), and a rotating scroll(150). The fixed scroll is fixed within the housing, and includes a circular plate and the spiral element projected from the circular plate. The rotating scroll is rotatably installed within the housing and includes a circular plate and the spiral element projected from the circular plate. An extended part(155) is formed on the outer circumference of one side of the circular plate of the rotating scroll, the spiral element of the rotating scroll is extended corresponding to the extended part and a recess for receiving the extended part is formed on the inner side of the housing corresponding to the extended part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
