PURPOSE: A protection method of digital contents using hardware information protecting the digital contents outputted through an external display device and an apparatus thereof are provided to protect the digital contents outputted through the screen of the display device.;CONSTITUTION: A display device hardware information comparing unit(410) compares the hardware information of a display device obtaining a client. A controller(420) generates the control signal for transmitting digital contents to the client in case the obtained hardware information of the display is the fixed hardware information.
