PURPOSE: A therapeutic agent for drug abuse containing L-tetrahydropalmatine(L-THP) is provided to suppress drug abuse cause by drug administration. CONSTITUTION: A therapeutic agent for drug abuse contains L-tetrahydropalmatine(L-THP) as an active ingredient and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The L-THP is isolated from Corydalis ochotensis TURCZ. The therapeutic agent effectively suppresses drug dependence by serotonins or morphines. The morphines include amorphine.
