PURPOSE: A dryer, a foreign material removing apparatus thereof, and a control method thereof are provided to prevent fire by maintaining the amount of air volume which passes through the inside of a drum if a filter is automatically cleaned.;CONSTITUTION: A dryer comprises: a cabinet; a drum; a drum cover which is combined with the base and supports the drum; filter cases(310,320) which are formed in the drum cover and wherein an inlet is formed in one side and an exhaust pipe is formed in the other side; a filter section(330) which is extended to the inside of the case along the edge of the exhaust pipe; and a fan assembly(360) which ventilates the air from the inside of the filter section to the outside.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
