PURPOSE: A cable modem and a method for performing a channel bonding operation and a method for controlling the same are provided to reduce a complexity of a wireless frequency processor by including a digital up-converter which up-converts digital data frequency.;CONSTITUTION: A plurality of modulators(310) generates a plurality of digital data corresponding to a plurality of independent channels. A plurality of digital up-converters(320) up-converts the plurality of digital data into a pre-set frequency. A wireless frequency processor integrates the output of the plurality of digital up-converters with the pre-set frequency into at least one channel and subsequently generates analog output signal. A plurality of amplifiers amplifies the outputs of the plurality of digital up-converters. A plurality of band-pass filters performs a band pass filtering operation with respect to the output of the plurality of amplifiers.
