PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for billing online content are provided to reasonably a distribute profit to contents provider and a service provider according to contents use amount of a contents user. CONSTITUTION: An online contents charging system comprises contents database(10), a contents usage measuring unit(20) and a profit distributing unit(30). The contents database stores a plurality of contents by a plurality of contents providers. The contents usage measuring unit measures contents used amount through predetermined charging criteria according to contents use. The profit distributing unit calculates distributed profit about the contents provider and service providers according to the contents used amount.
