The House Homeland Security Committee on Oct. 23 approved a bill that would authorize and codify efforts by the Department of Homeland Security to deploy a network security system known as continuous diagnostics and mitigation (CDM). The committee also advanced legislation to create a commission to study how online platforms were addressing terrorism-related content and covert foreign state influence campaigns. Both bills were adopted by unanimous consent.
