FUEL ROD SCANNER USING THE PULSED NEUTRON GENERATOR

PURPOSE: A fuel rod inspection meter using a neutron generator is provided to reduce the weight of a fuel rod inspection meter by reducing the thickness of a shielding body. CONSTITUTION: A neutron generator is installed inside a shielding body(11). A gamma-ray detector(3) is arranged on the side facing the shielding body while leaving the fuel rod in the reaction site between a fuel rod(F) and a neutron which is emitted in the neutron generator. The neutron generator is composed of a pulse type neutron generator(20). The neutron generator is arranged at a fixed interval from the wall facing the fuel rod inside the shielding body in order to emit a thermal neutron transformed in neutron to the fuel rod.
