PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for generating and searching the trajectory content of a navigation device are intended to provide a trajectory service using a trajectory content including trajectory data and multimedia data.;CONSTITUTION: A method for searching the trajectory content of a navigation device is as follows. A predetermined search area is set around a current position(505). A first parcel information included in the search area and a second parcel information including the link information of a specific trajectory content are extracted(510,515). According to the comparison result of the second parcel information and the first parcel information, it is determined whether the specific trajectory content is included in the set search area(520). The IDs of the first parcels included in the search area are extracted(525). The ID of the links which are used as an intermediate road between a destination point and a start point is extracted from the specific trajectory content.
